JOB OPENINGS

Lead Web Developer

Possible locations for this position: Berkeley, CA / Washington, DC

Our Lead Web Developer manages a small production team of coders on many aspects of email implementation and web development projects. In addition to coding email messages, and developing web pages, micro-sites, social media apps and more, the Lead Developer also mentors the members of the team, tracks internal workflows and communicates timelines to project stakeholders, and also serves as the end-point for technical escalations on projects.

Core responsibilities:

  • Slicing and optimizing Photoshop comps
  • Coding emails and updating landing pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Becoming familiar with navigating the tools of our client eCRM and ESP systems
  • Trafficking project workflow and timelines
  • Other duties to support design and production staff

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years' web development experience
  • Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Ability to code in a responsive manner that validate and follow accessibility guidelines
  • Some experience in coding HTML email templates
  • Photoshop or other image editing software skills
  • Experience with at least one JavaScript library such as jQuery
  • Knowledge of at least one server side language
  • Use of JavaScript frameworks or libraries such as jQuery

Online Account Executive

Possible locations for this position: Berkeley, CA / Washington, DC

About the Opportunity:

The Online Account Executive works as part of an account team that delivers direct marketing fundraising programs by assisting with or managing many aspects of client work and project management for a portfolio of clients.

Core responsibilities:

  • Working with the account lead to develop and implement online fundraising/advocacy campaigns with specific benchmarks and deliverables, including email newsletters and solicitations, fundraising appeals, advocacy campaigns and more
  • Assisting with creative services, including writing/editing Web fundraising copy, promotional copy and email newsletters and solicitations
  • Coordinating email message production and implementation with internal departments and clients
  • Implementing and overseeing message and landing page setup in the client+s eCRM platform
  • Working with Director of Research and Analytics to pull messaging data and other metrics
  • Monitoring message performance after a launch and doing preliminary analysis for client report-back
  • Helping prepare presentations and reports before in-person client meetings as needed, with guidance from the account lead

Education, Experience & Knowledge: 

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in one of the following areas of work: advocacy, fundraising, electoral campaigning, project management, event planning, Internet marketing, direct response

Account Executive

Our Account Executives provide strategic leadership for direct marketing fundraising programs with nonprofit organizations who are our clients. They serve as the lead relationship manager for a portfolio of several clients, and work within a team to deliver direct marketing fundraising programs.

Core responsibilities:

  • Work with Account Lead to develop and execute year-long direct marketing fundraising schedules
  • Provide strategic oversight of client direct marketing fundraising programs
  • Guide production management and design process for projects
  • Prepare and secure strategy documents and budget approvals for projects
  • Create and review strategies and annual plans with clients
  • Develop and execute year-long direct marketing schedules
  • Draft appeal letters and/or work with copywriters to draft content
  • Work with clients to identify topics, issues, and projects for fundraising appeals
  • Work with list brokers to develop lists
  • Develop up-sell/cross-sell strategies
  • Travel several times a year to meet with clients
  • Assist with new business proposals and presentations
